this is the trip is for you! Laurie has been with us three times in Guatemala. We traveled together to Nebaj, so I know from experience she is a wonderful travel companion. Not to mention know more about southwestern textiles than just about anybody !!Laurie is a respected anthropologist specializing in the weaving traditions of the American Southwest. She has studied Southwestern textiles at museums throughout the United States and has worked with many contemporary Navajo, Hopi, and Rio Grande Hispanic weavers. Laurie wrote Collecting the Weaver's Art: The William Claflin Collection of Southwestern Textiles, published by the Peabody Museum and co-edited Beyond Cloth and Cordage: Archaeological Textile Research in the Americas.
